TIANA Fair Trade Organic Coconut Baking Flour is highly nutritious consisting of important vitamins and minerals. Containing a low G.I. (Glycemic Index) and high dietary fibre (38%), low in carbohydrates (21%), it is also a good source of protein (17%).
TIANA Fair Trade Organic Coconut Baking Flour is extra fine and has a perfectly natural, slightly creamy colour unlike some other coconut flours that are pure white in colour, indicating that it is likely the product has been bleached with chemicals. It has an ideal fibre content; those flours that have 50% of fibre or above, may have a low nutrient content and not suitable for baking.
TIANA Fair Trade Organic Coconut Baking Flour is ideal for making delicious gluten free and fibre rich baked foods. With this flour you can bake without flavour enhancers or chemicals. It is very economical in use due to the high fibre content, which increases the yield of the baked foods by up to 50% dough weight. For example, just 35 g of this organic flour is enough to bake 6 muffins and just 3 tablespoons will make 5 – 8 pancakes. Due to its high fibre content, coconut flour absorbs more liquid than wheat flour; therefore you will need to add extra water to the recipe.
This product is ideal for hand baking and is also suitable in use with bread machines.
