Due to its electrolyte content, improves nervous system functioning and nerve transmission. It also helps prevents muscle cramps and spasms.

3. It helps maintain a healthy heart and kidneys

4. Great for Anti-aging.

It contains compounds called cytokinins which protect cells from ageing.

5. It’s a digestive Aid!

Improves digestion and metabolism via its bio-active enzymes. It also aids absorption of food and soothes intestinal pains.

6. Supports immune function

It is rich in Lauric Acid which is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral. It boosts the immune system in fighting infection whilst helping to eradicate intestinal worms and Candida.

Why is coconut water better for rehydration than ordinary water?

As a result of dehydration, when water exits the body, it takes along with it electrolytes (ionic mineral content) such as sodium or potassium – these are the smallest of chemicals which are important for cells to function and allow the body to function properly. To replenish lost water you must also replenish lost electrolytes.

How dehydration can have a negative impact on your wellbeing

It is recommended for an average person to drink 6 to 8 cups of water during per day, however most people do not drink this amount and rely on coffee or tea for their daily hydration, which are no substitute to water. As a general rule, for every cup of coffee or tea you drink, you need to drink at least half that much again in water. For example, if you drink four cups of coffee per day, you need to drink an additional two cups of plain water to equal the water intake you would get from just four cups of water. Alcohol and drugs can also have a dehydrating effect.

Keeping your body hydrated is essential for a healthy lifestyle. TIANA Organic Coconut Water tastes fantastic, keeps you hydrated and is a low calorie, natural product that is not only organic, but also fair trade certified meaning that it helps to support the developing world.

Drink organic coconut water for sports nutrition

Coconut water is recommended for sports nutrition as it avoids dehydration during long periods of effort. This refreshing drink provides hydration for professional athletes and to anyone else who is fitness focused.

Raw Coconut Water from green coconuts -vs- from concentrate

If it comes from fresh young coconuts will have a slightly cloudy appearance whereas from concentrate will be looking more transparent. This is because it is often diluted to varying proportions.

Around 80% of coconut water worldwide is made from a concentrated juice. That liquid is obtained from old mature coconuts, where its white flesh has become a thick layer and a lot of important nutrients will have been transferred from the water into white flesh.

This drink is different because it is straight from the young and green. It is a super-fast, hydrating juice that contains important minerals and vitamins and a great taste.

About green coconuts

Coconut water develops inside a young green coconut, simply slicing it open and you will get it. When they are young, they’re completely filled with water and have very little white flesh. At this stage, both water and flesh are naturally very sweet. Then they reach full size at about 6-7 months old and mature at 10-12 months. The best nutrition and quantity is obtained at 6-7 months old, when a single one contains up to 480 ml.

At about 10-12 months coconuts mature, fully ripe coconuts have only a small amount of water and a thicker white flesh layer inside. When it is ripe, both flesh and water become less sweet. In young coconuts most of the sugar is in the form of glucose and fructose. The water from young fresh coconuts is essentially fat free. In ripe coconuts the sugar is predominately sucrose whereas protein and fat content is increased. Our drink has none of this:

  • No GMO
  • No Fat
  • No Cholesterol
  • No Preservatives
  • No added sugar
  • No colourings
  • No fructose
  • No sweeteners
  • No corn syrup

Instead, has plenty of this:

  • Minerals
  • Vitamins
  • Amino acids
  • Enzymes
  • Hormones
  • Potassium
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Phosphorous
  • Sodium
