What to know when you buy coconut flour

1. If coconut flour is white in colour, it means that the product has been bleached with chemicals. Organic coconut flour has a slightly creamy colour and a very nice natural taste.

2. If coconut flour has a very high fibre content of above 50% then  be aware of the nutrient content of the product. During processing this type product becomes coconut flour fibre with almost all the important nutrients removed and this is usually reflected in a cheaper price. Coconut Flour fibre is not suitable for baking.

3. There are also some types of coconut flour that you can use as ingredients for cooking but they are not suitable for baking.

4. TIANA Coconut Flour is sulphates and any chemicals free.
