TIANA Coconut Products are virtually Food Allergy and Intolerance Free
What is the difference between Food Allergy and Food Intolerance?
Food allergy and food intolerance are both types of food sensitivity.
When someone has a Food Allergy, their immune system reacts to a particular food as if it isn't safe. If someone has a severe food allergy, this can cause a life-threatening reaction.
Food intolerance doesn't involve the immune system and is generally not life-threatening, but if someone eats a food they are intolerant to, this could make them feel ill or affect their long-term health.
Coconut is ideal for individuals with food allergies. Coconut is regarded as hypoallergenic because very few people are allergic to it.
TIANA Coconut Flour, Coconut Oil, Coconut Milk and Coconut Cream can be recommended to people with food sensitivity.

Allergy and Intolerance to milk is the most common food allergy.
Allergy to milk products includes all dairy products such as cheese, butter, yogurt, cream etc.
The symptoms of milk allergy are often mild and can affect any part of the body. They can include rashes, diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach cramps and difficulty in breathing. In a very few cases, milk allergy can cause anaphylaxis. Cows' milk allergy is caused by a reaction to a number of proteins in cows' milk and people can react to whole milk, or to casein or whey. People can be allergic to either whey or casein, or both, and can react to very small amounts of these.
Milk intolerance also known as milk protein intolerance is common, especially with children. It is different to milk allergy and lactose intolerance.
Symptoms of milk intolerance can include eczema, vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach cramps.
Lactose intolerance
Lactose is the type of sugar that is found naturally in milk. Some people can't digest lactose properly and having milk of some dairy products can make them feel sick, bloated and gives them stomach pains and diarrhoea.
Symptoms of lactose intolerance can include: hives, eczema, swollen lips, mouth, tongue, face or throat, allergic black eyes, itchy red rash, abdominal pain and bloating, diarrhoea, vomiting, gas/wind, cramps, runny nose, sneezing, watery and itchy eyes, coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath.

Food Allergies and Acne
Food allergies such as gluten intolerance, dairy content and lectin can cause acne. In this case, the only treatment you need is to eliminate those certain foods from your diet.
Acne is a hormonal condition that many of us cannot avoid. However, studies have shown that acne may also be caused by certain food products. Acne may be triggered through an allergic response following consumption of foods that are rich in dairy and gluten content.
Gluten is a protein found in barley, rye, oats and wheat. How gluten, acne and food allergies could tie up? For one thing, food allergies such as gluten allergies can cause inflammations - not the least of which is the one that causes pain in the stomach area upon consumption.
When allergies strike, inflammations could occur in different parts of the body, as in the case of rashes. In the case of gluten, there is a certain allergic condition in which acne is triggered. One would be able to tell if one is allergic to gluten if one notices that he or she breaks out in pimples soon after eating food containing gluten.
This can be prevented by avoiding foods that have gluten content. If you need to follow gluten free diet than we recommend you use gluten free TIANA Organic Coconut Flour. Using TIANA Organic Coconut Flour you will be able to make tasty, gluten free baked foods.
Dairy and lectin are two other products that may cause an acne outbreak. If you are lactose-intolerant you may expect that the skin on your face could be sensitive to dairy products as well. Lectin is protein that bind to carbohydrates, causing inflammation that becomes manifest in different forms. Lectin is protein, which causing inflammation and can be found in some grains, starches, peppers, legumes (such as beans), and tomatoes.
If it turns out that you are sensitive to products that contain dairy, lectin or gluten, acne is a foreseeable allergic reaction. We recommend our delicious TIANA Coconut Milk and Coconut Cream as a dairy free alternative to milk products, TIANA Coconut Flour and TIANA Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, which are all gluten free, dairy free and lectin free.
