Feed Your Skin Coconut Crazy
They do say Don’t put anything on your skin that you couldn’t eat!
Janey Lee-Grace discusses skincare, how to feed your skin and the nourishment it needs, in the new issue of Truehealthmag. She gives her top tips for hand and nail care.
She also says that a great ingredient to really feed your skin, is coconut oil. Just make sure it’s raw organic extra virgin coconut oil. You can eat coconut oil, add it to the smoothies or spread on toast, but you can also use it as an all over moisturiser. Amazingly, it works both as a cleanser and a moisturiser, and if you add salt it becomes an exfoliator too.
Pore-cleansing Coconut Oil Exfoliant
– 3 teaspoon coconut oil (choose best product on the market – TIANA Fair Trade Organics Raw Virgin Coconut Oil!)
– 1 table spoon yoghurt
– 1 table spoon Dead Sea salt
Mix to a paste, apply and rinse off with water.
Almost too good to eat..
Janey Lee-Grace gets excited about TIANA coconut oil! Read her article in “Health Triangle Magazine”
We would like to share with you a great piece that Janey Lee-Grace has put together in the “Health Triangle Magazine”:
“Moisturise your skin with the brilliant premium quality raw extra virgin coconut oil from TIANA Fair Trade Organics. They do say, don’t put anything on your skin you can’t eat; you can eat and should eat coconut oil (and lather your skin, hair and nails too). If you aren’t planning a night of passion then lather it on your hands and feet and hair – wrap in a towel or bathcap) and in the morning everything will be silky soft.

Discover the Versatility of Honey
Enzymes rule in the big Honey Debate?
What is so special about honey?
EVER stop to think about what’s in a bottle of honey? It’s really quite simple. There are no added preservatives. No added flavourings. No added colouring. The bottle of honey on your supermarket shelf is nothing more than honest to goodness sweetness the way nature intended
In addition to being a great natural sweetener, honey has a multitude of benefits that many people don’t know about. Have you ever had an unrelenting sore throat? Honey has been proven to be a natural throat soother! Are you an athlete looking for a natural energy boost before the big game? Honey’s unique blend of natural sweeteners gives it the ability to provide quick energy in any circumstance.
Honey is sweet – that’s a given. But did you know that honey also adds a special touch to almost any recipe? It’s the whisper at a party. It’s the sigh after the perfect bite. It’s the nostalgic feeling of childhood. It’s your secret ingredient with endless possibilities.
Many people think of honey as a drizzle in desserts or a topping for toast. But now more than ever, honey’s being recognized as a versatile ingredient and pantry staple in the kitchen. All-natural honey gives your recipes unbeatable flavour and unmatched functional benefits. From balancing flavours to providing moisture to baked goods, one-ingredient honey performs a slew of tasks, all from one little bottle.
Discover the versatility of honey…
Sweetener: Honey is slightly sweeter than sugar, so less can be used to achieve the same sweetness intensity.
Flavour: Honey not only imparts a unique flavour to any dish, but it also balances and enhances the flavour profiles of other ingredients used in a recipe.
Emulsifier: Honey acts as a binder and thickener for sauces, dressings, marinades and dips.
Humectants: Honey provides and retains moisture to a variety of dishes and can even extend the shelf life of baked goods.
Honey… Natural Energy
Honey is a source of carbohydrates, providing 17 grams per tablespoon, which makes it ideal for your working muscles since carbohydrates are the primary fuel the body uses for energy. Carbohydrates are necessary in the diet to help maintain muscle glycogen, also known as stored carbohydrates, which are the most important fuel source for athletes to help them keep going. Whether you’re looking for an energy boost or just a sweet reward after a long workout, honey is a quick, easy, and delicious all-natural energy source!
Consumer Choice in selecting honey
Consumers are faced with a never ending choice when it comes to honey. Walk along the grocery aisles of any mainstream supermarket and you will be able to select a basic table honey for under £2 going up to a top end Manuka honey for £10 – £18.99 for a 250/500g size. In health stores the consumer is faced with the same dilemma; shelves of honey in different flavours with fancy packaging and labels.
TIANA’s Approach to honey
Here at TIANA we appreciate that the consumer is the number one consideration when producing a product. TIANA 100% Raw Active Pure Organic Honey is an unpasteurised Honey that contains antibacterial complex with a Diastatic Activity of 10+. Completely different to any other honey on the market due to the availability of enzymes, Diastase, Invertase and Catalyse, which are important for your health? As per EU Directives on honey: enzyme Diastase, available in raw unpasteurised honey, is the only factor to measure quality and activity of honey.
Enzymes in TIANA Raw Active Honey
TIANA 100% Raw Active Pure Organic honey contains a number of different enzymes. Typically, enzymes are proteins of a complex structure that catalyse a specific chemical reaction. Unless destroyed by heating enzymes facilitate chemical reactions occurring in the digestion of carbohydrates in the intestines. They are sensitive to heat, visible in UV light and other forms such as microwaves and storage conditions. Of all the enzymes in honey Diastase and Invertase are regarded as the most important as they both are introduced to honey by bees and have greater presence in raw honey. TIANA Raw Active honey has an active complex with anti-bacterial and antioxidant properties that contain oligosaccharides. It is a great source of energy and offers numerous health benefits.
TIANA 100% Raw Active Pure Organic honey is cold extracted and packed at room temperatures below 40° C to guarantee all the benefits of the active nutrients that are only available in organic raw honey.
Sourced from the exquisite wild flowers of the mountains; cold pressed and extracted at temperatures below 40°c, this guarantees the active nutrients that are only found in raw fresh unpasteurised honey.
For maximum health benefits it is advised to take 2-3 teaspoons daily. TIANA 100% Raw Active Pure Organic Honey is delicious on toast, crumpets or drizzled over yoghurt or porridge. Brush it over grilled chicken or salmon as a marinade with a dash of soya sauce with fresh ginger and enjoy the exquisite taste of TIANA Fair Trade Organics Raw Active Honey. This is why the TIANA Raw Active Honey range are Award Winners and given the accolade of Great Taste 2015. Available in Wild Flower and Cherry Blossom flavours…
